Support UCS
How you can support us
UCS is a Charity and is non-profitable, so it has to effectively be self-funding. The cost of running UCS can only be partly covered by our members. So we need additional financial support to maintain our long cultural position in the region, as one of just a few choirs with such an impressive history. Whilst we always aim to win grants and public sector funding, this has to be complemented by other sources of funding and sponsorship.
There are several ways for both individuals and corporate organisations to support the choir. And there are mutual benefits and opportunities.
Would you like to support a young singer?
As with all choirs, the lower voices, the tenors and bases are in short supply. Therefore if you know of promising singers, we are offering scholarships to help them learn and for us to improve the balance of the choir.
We would love your help to support a young singer who would like to improve their singing skills, either because they enjoy it, or because they may be thinking about a musical career.
For £100 you will receive:
- Your name/company logo on our programmes and website
- Regular updates and information about your singer
- 2 complimentary tickets & reserved seating
- Complimentary interval refreshments

Major choral concerts with professional soloists and orchestras are extremely expensive to stage. Sponsorship of the arts for an individual or corporate sponsor is mutually beneficial and can make for a very rewarding long term relationship with the Society and with the Uttoxeter and East Staffordshire community.
Other support options
Become a Friend
For just £50 a year (£80 for couples), you can become a Friend of Uttoxeter Choral Society and will receive:
- Regular updates and information about the choir
- Invitations to special events with the choir and conductor
- One complimentary ticket and all other tickets ½ price
- Your name listed in our concert programmes.
Become a Patron Member
For any amount above £120 a year you can become Patron Member of Uttoxeter Choral Society.
In addition to the benefits of being Friend, Patron Members are entitled to 6 complimentary tickets.
This extra funding provides additional financial support to the choir and means less long term subsidy. Your name will be listed in our concert programmes.
Become a Corporate Sponsor for a Concert
For £250 (and upwards) you will receive:
- Full page colour advertisement in our concert programme
- Your name/company logo on all our publicity material
- Space in the concert venue for your own publicity material
- You will receive 4 complimentary tickets & reserved seating for the concert
- Complimentary interval refreshments

Grangewood Fencing have been generously contributing to UCS funds since 2023, supporting its regular rehearsals and concert events. The society acknowledge their generosity and thank them.
